No.
They are closed on mondays
Great food and great prices!
Good food, good prices. And leave room for the pie, for which there are plenty of choices.
Delicious homemade pie. Very reasonable prices.
Everything there was hot and delicious, from the entrees and dessert, to the bathroom faucet, and the waitress my coworkers had. I'm not sure if its the only restaraunt in golden city, but its certainly the best. Definitely worth the stop, just 3 blocks or so south of US 160 so if you are on that road id suggest making the stop.
Was all set for pie and they were closed at 3 p.m. in the afternoon! 🤐🤐🤐🤐
This is just off of the Trans American bike route. Well worth the visit as the pie was awesome. Many different ones to choose from, over 20 different flavors all baked fresh each day.
Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. The food was OK but the pie sure was not what it used to be :( Keep practicing and I'll try again.
The food wasn’t that great, also they don’t serve fries on sundays?? Sorry but we won’t be back here again.
Fried chicken is really good!
We make a point to stop here every time we go through Golden City. Cookys is a must. The problem is the service is a hit or miss. We arrived at 11am for lunch. A party of four arrived after us. They were served by a different waitress. They had finished their meals before we received ours. We didn't leave until 12:45. One of us ordered a sandwich, the other, the special with cold or canned sides. Would have given more stars if not for the service.
Wow! Great! Awesome pies, great food, and wonderful atmosphere!
The best homemade pies I've had since my childhood!
Great little Cafe, food is good, lots of pie and ice cream.
The brisket was excellent and the pies are amazing. Nice cozy little small town restaurant with friendly waitresses and super cheap prices. I can't wait to go back.
This place is a landmark! I had pie for dinner here, then pie again for breakfast. A must-do for cyclists on the TransAmerica router.
Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant. It's an old fashioned affair where you seat yourself and pay cash on the way out. There are no "fancy" items on the menu, just good homestyle cooking. Our waitress was prompt and took good care of us. The food tasted great and there was plenty of dessert. This place is well known for its delicious pies. My tea glass was kept full which is always critical to me.I suggest that you give this place a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Great place for a quick bite. Farmers greasy spoon would be there category I would put this restaurant in.
The best little cafe wonderful pies ,fast service ,wonderful waitress. It was worth the drive
We always eat at Cookies and have had excellent food, BUT today was not one of the good days. After 40 minutes of waiting for our order, the fried chicken was cold, the Suzy Q's were almost cold, and the Coconut Cream Pie was strange. The meal was disappointing.
Food was great service was slow
Great food. I've eaten there for over 60 years. Everyday fresh pies that are the best of any place in the region.
Great food at reasonable prices
Four tables that arrived after us got their food before us. The wait staff took back the salad dressing they set on our table 30 minutes earlier so one of the tables that was seated and served after us could have some. We had better service at Casey's Gas station.
Great atmosphere, prompt service, amazing food and out of this world pies. I will definitely go back.
Great breakfast and friendly staff! Next time, I'll try one of those great looking pies!
The best homemade pies I've ever had since childhood!
Good food, great prices! Country Cooking with generous portions. The staff is always friendly. However don't forget your cash! This is a cash only, they do have an ATM but it has a service charge.
Not as good as it once was small portions great service
Always been happy with the food at Cooky's! Never had any problems with getting what I ordered. Friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone! Also, you can see them cooking your food.
Worse service ever. Others who were obviously regulars ordered after us but got food before us. Waitress asked if we needed anything while walking away. Called for her several times and she kept walking. I had to bring my cups up to get refilled. Food was ok. Chicken and fish must be fried in same grease because chicken tasted like fish. Pies may be good . . . too frustrated with service and food quality to try. Don’t waste your time.
I love this place! Friendly atmosphere and delicious food! If you have to wait in line, it's worth it! Save room for dessert because the pie is out of this world.
I unexpectedly went with my mom's friends from church. I was thrilled when I asked about the gravy, my waitress knew about gluten and cross contamination! Always a surprise in small towns! Thank-you for taking the time to make my meal safe! I enjoyed watching others enjoy their pies.
Good service, food was fresh, and pretty fast. Staff were friendly. Not many spots to stop through there to eat something tasty. We would recommend them. And don't forget to get some pie delishous ! ( Strawberry Rhubarb)
Nice people and claudia is the best server
Brisket and pies are yummy here. Old school cafe 😄🤗
Home grown beef, fresh Suzie Qs, and home made pies. It doesn't get any better.
Great atmosphere and pie. Friendly service. Home cooking.
Old school diner, really enjoyed it. Home style food is excellent and value is good. Large selection pie, I had the chocolate pecan, look forward to the next time I am through the area. Be sure to bring cash since they do not accept cards.
Great fried chicken and the best pies in the state
Great old fashioned home cooking and the pie is wonderful!!!
Some of the best pies and pies selections I have seen
I have to stop here when we are in town to visit family. Prices are great, food is delicious and I can have fresh baked pie with my breakfast!
Always good comfort food. Homemade pie selection is off the charts!
It seemed clear that the regulars got some preferred treatment but it's a tiny diner in a tiny town. Food was great. Loved the pie! It's about an hour out of the way for me but I would go back if I was in the area.
Very good pies, even sugar free pies
Great pies and good food. Busy place, full of locals, very inviting!
amazing people and awesome ice cream. not too expensive
Great food and great people. The quintessential small town cafe.
The fried chicken is the very best. I was disappointed that they were out of lemon pie.
We went in recently at almost closing time, not realizing it of course, and they were still awesome like always, meaning no attitude and they were still happy to see ya, and of course everything was awesome like always. Can't wait to go back.
